Menachem Lubinsky is president & CEO of LUBICOM Marketing Consulting, a full-service public relations, advertising and marketing, and special events management firm. Mr. Lubinsky is a seasoned marketing executive whose successes have spanned many industries.
For 30 years, LUBICOM has served a broad cadre of clients in diverse areas, including MCI, Sprint, Coca Cola, Dannon Yogurt, Lea & Perrins, Welch’s, Frito-Lay, Hospital for Joint Diseases, Maimonides Hospital, Brookdale Hospital, Metropolitan Jewish Health System, the Luggage and Leather Goods and Shoe Industries, and more than 400 other businesses and not-for-profit organizations.
In addition to serving a large number of business and not-for-profit clients, LUBICOM is well known for its expertise in the marketing and management of large shows and exhibitions. It has produced such events as the highly successful Kosher Foods & Jewish Life Expos in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami attracting more than 350,000 people. Menachem Lubinsky, single-handedly created and developed Kosherfest, the world’s largest and most successful kosher food trade show. It has also managed Israel Expo, The Great American Dessert Expo in Las Vegas and Atlanta, and The Casimir Capital Conferences at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City.
Mr. Lubinsky is the recognized authority on the kosher food market. In addition to the international kosher food show, Menachem Lubinsky is the founding publisher of Kosher Today, the leading trade publication on kosher for the food industry. He is also responsible for the development of the weekly on-line version of Kosher Today (http://www.koshertoday.com). In June 2003, after 15 years, Mr. Lubinsky entered into a strategic relationship with Diversified Business Communications for the management and marketing of Kosherfest and its related publications and Web sites. Lubinsky and LUBICOM continue to be involved in Kosherfest and all aspects of the kosher food industry.
Mr. Lubinsky graduated from the Bernard M. Baruch College of the City University of New York with a Baccalaureate degree in Marketing Management and Market Research. He later received his M.B.A. in Marketing and Advertising from the same institution. He served as the founding director of the Boro Park Senior Citizens Center and Project COPE (Career Opportunities Preparation for Employment) a multi-million dollar job-training agency, and then as Vice President of Government and Public Affairs of Agudath Israel of America. In that capacity he represented the nation’s 600 Jewish elementary, high school and postgraduate schools. He was a frequent visitor to Washington, Albany and City Hall, meeting with Presidents, Governors, Mayors and their administration.
Menachem Lubinsky served as president (8 years) and as Chairman of the Board (2 years) of the Metropolitan NY Coordinating Council on Jewish Poverty, (an agency of UJA - Federation of Jewish Philanthropies) which he has been affiliated with for more than 30 years; Vice-President of Agudath Israel of America, (which in 1994 honored him with their Man of the Year Award and where he currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees); a member of the Government Affairs Committee of the Jewish Community Relations Council of NY, Domestic Affairs Committee of UJA Federation, the Council of the Jewish Organizations of Flatbush, Chai Lifeline, the Private Industry Council of the City of NY, the NY State Procurement Council and Public Relations Advisory Committee of the Orthodox Union. In July 2002, he was honored by the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce and Industry for his efforts to assist Israel’s food industry.
Mr. Lubinsky is an outstanding orator and a prolific writer. His articles have appeared in major publications throughout the country including the Op-Ed page of the NY Times.
He and his wife Hindy, a speech pathologist and Director of the Graduate School of Speech and Audiology at Touro College, live in Brooklyn. They have 3 daughters and 10 grandchildren.
